  Transcripts Evaluation

Evaluation of transcripts from other high schools is a relatively short process.  The courses are evaluated with respect to the Virtual High School of Excellence policy on the acceptability of transfer credit in the Office of Admissions.  During this evaluation, Virtual High School staff determines which courses are accepted and posts these credits to your pending academic file in the Student System.  You can fax all transcript evaluation requests to us directly at 954-241-5159.

Courses transferred from Florida schools are given Virtual High School subject equivalencies if these exist.  In all cases we will require a certified transcript before the course can be added to your academic record.

Most courses from out-of-state schools are given general department credit and identified as a "Transfer".  After credits are accepted from the transfer school, you should check with your Academic Advisor to see what credits were accepted as direct equivalencies or classified as general (elective) credit at the Virtual High School of Excellence.

The next step is to contact your academic counselor(s) to find out how the general subject credits (the Transfer courses) apply to you.  You may need to supply a course syllabus or course description so that your counselors can determine any course equivalencies.  When the counselors understand the content of your transfer courses, they will make appropriate substitutions to apply the transfer credits to your diploma requirements.
