Is Online Learning Right For You?
Learning online provides a flexible alternative to the traditional classroom, helping you reach your goals while managing a busy life. If you are self-motivated and like to set your own schedule, Online Learning might be a good fit for you.

Some things to keep in mind when considering studying online:
Studying online is a great alternative if you are self-disciplined, enjoy working on your own, and need a more flexible schedule.
Instead of interacting face-to-face as you would in a regular classroom, you'll be relying on e-mail, bulletin boards, discussion boards, instant messenger, and the web to communicate with instructors and classmates.
While online learning removes the need to travel to class and gives you more flexibility in setting your schedule, it requires the same commitment as classes offered on campus. The amount of time you'll need to complete an online course will depend on various factors like your prior experience with online learning, the kinds of activities featured in the course, and your instructor's expectations. But here is a general guide: to complete a one-credit online course, you can expect to spend a total of 120-140 hours.
Online learning courses use technology for teaching and communication. This technology includes the internet, e-mail, voice mail, scanners, and word processing program.
